KNIT!

The fabulous fashion show was....well....fabulous
This is fabulous. What a talented knitter.
Knitted shawls
Our master of ceremonies and a master of knitting.
Knitted shrug from baby alpaca
This shrug was made by a new knitter.

Our third annual fashion show started off very quietly while we worked to get the sound system functioning.  Finally, what a show.  Cascade Yarns, Crystal Palace and Berroco sent sample garments that were practical and gorgeous.  Many of the garments can be made by the most inexperienced knitters.

Some of our talented customers are pictured above and we will use other pictures as the year progresses.  If you do not wish to have your picture on our website, please let us know.  We tried to get everyone's approval.

Any ideas for next year?  We are happy to have your suggestions.

Chemo Hats
Recently MD Anderson contacted us with an appeal for knitted chemo caps.  We have started to collect patterns for your use and with the help of Pam Knowles, there are many to choose from.  The yarn should be very soft but is not limited by yarn weight.  We were told that the hats are so popular that they would probably be put to use the day they are received.

We have always thought this would be a wonderful project.  We have all known friends and relatives who have needed this thoughtful gift.  Now we have a place where they are needed.  In an effort to make this donation easier for our knitters, we will give you a 20% discount on all yarn you purchase to make a chemo hat.  We will provide a display area for hats.  Please join us in making this a success.
